Extra medullary Plasmacytoma of nasal cavity- A rare case report

open access: diamondInternational Journal of Orofacial Biology, 2022
Extramedullary plasmacytoma is a rare neoplasm characterized by monoclonal proliferation of plasma cells  and accounts  for about 3 - 5% of  all plasma cell neoplasms including bone and extramedullary tumors. Extramedullary Plasmacytomas are more predominant in males who are in the 5th – 6th decade. It is most often located in the head and neck region.

Ct Measurement of Proximal Femoral Medullary Cavity Morphology in Healthy Subjects From Northern China [PDF]

open access: green, 2020
Abstract Purpose: In total hip arthroplasty (THA), optimal stability and fixation is achieved via tight adaptation of the prosthesis to the bone. This study aimed to analyze the proximal femoral medullary cavity morphology of Chinese subjects on three-dimensional reconstructed imagery to explore the factors influencing these parameters. Methods:

Morphological Analysis of Medullary Cavity for Designing Personalized Femoral Stem [PDF]

open access: green, 2021
Abstract To improve the quality and efficiency of femoral stem prosthesis design, a Monte Carlo method based on femoral bone marrow cavity analysis is proposed to measure morphological parameters using anatomical semantics. The region of interest is the femur, which includes the medullary cavity and cortical region.

Extra Medullary Plasmacytoma of the Nasal Cavity: Treatment Perspective in a Developing Nation [PDF]

open access: bronzeEar, Nose & Throat Journal, 2006
Extramedullary plasmacytomas are uncommon tumors, with a worldwide annual incidence of 3 per 100,000 population. They account for 1% of all tumors of the head and neck and 4% of all nonepithelial tumors of the nasal tract. A variety of treatment options has been suggested.
