Ecology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.This study chronicles all described subspecies of snow sheep (Ovis nivicola) since 1829, reviewing taxonomic assessments by key systematists. Using genome‐wide SNP genotyping on 337 samples from 15 populations, we validate and refine subspecies classifications, revealing eight genetic clusters and proposing a new subspecies (O. n. ernsti).

Small, Volume 22, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.The UOR mechanism on Pt, Ni, and PtNi surfaces shows that at low potentials, only Pt/C and PtNi/C are active, promoting the formation of N2 as the dominant product. At higher potentials, C–N bond cleavage becomes predominant, and NO intermediates drive the formation of NO2− as the main product on PtNi/C and Ni/C.
