Interictal magnetic signals in new‐onset Rolandic epilepsy may help with timing of treatment selection

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, Volume 9, Issue 1, Page 368-379, February 2024.
Abstract Objective With research progress on Rolandic epilepsy (RE), its “benign” nature has been phased out. Clinicians are exhibiting an increasing tendency toward a more assertive treatment approach for RE. Nonetheless, in clinical practice, delayed treatment remains common because of the “self‐limiting” nature of RE.

Seasonal, synoptic, and diurnal-scale variability of biogeochemical trace gases and O2 from a 300-m tall tower in central Siberia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We present first results from 19 months of semicontinuous concentration measurements of biogeochemical trace gases (CO2, CO, and CH4) and O2, measured at the Zotino Tall Tower Observatory (ZOTTO) in the boreal forest of central Siberia.

Individual word representations dissociate from linguistic context along a cortical unimodal to heteromodal gradient

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 45, Issue 2, 1 February, 2024.
Functional magnetic resonance imaging and magnetoencephalography recordings (N = 102) reveal that language comprehension during sentence reading is organized along a sensory‐to‐heteromodal cortical gradient. Word representations and linguistic context fall at opposite ends along this gradient, while both ends of the gradient are interactively activated

The Independent Importer\u27s Right of Review of Antidumping Regulations Before the Court of Justice of the European Communities [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
This Note argues that the Court should interpret the EEC Treaty to admit actions brought by independent Community importers. Part I of this Note examines the structure of Community antidumping proceedings. Part II sets forth the two methods that permit

Disentangling High-Paced Alternating I/O in Gaze-Based Interaction

open access: yesIEEE Access
Gaze-based input to machines utilizes the ability of eye-gaze to serve as a user’s “output.” However, gaze should also support information flow in the opposite direction, namely, “input” to the user’s visual ...

A two-way regularization method for MEG source reconstruction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The MEG inverse problem refers to the reconstruction of the neural activity of the brain from magnetoencephalography (MEG) measurements. We propose a two-way regularization (TWR) method to solve the MEG inverse problem under the assumptions that only a ...

Magnetoencephalography Atlas Viewer for Dipole Localization and Viewing

open access: yesJournal of Imaging
Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a noninvasive neuroimaging technique widely recognized for epilepsy and tumor mapping. MEG clinical reporting requires a multidisciplinary team, including expert input regarding each dipole’s anatomic localization.

Magnetoencephalographic study of hand and foot sensorimotor organization in 325 consecutive patients evaluated for tumor or epilepsy surgery

open access: yesNeuroImage: Clinical, 2016
Objectives: The presence of intracranial lesions or epilepsy may lead to functional reorganization and hemispheric lateralization. We applied a clinical magnetoencephalography (MEG) protocol for the localization of the contralateral and ipsilateral S1 ...

Quantum simulation of multiple-exciton generation in a nanocrystal by a single photon

open access: yes, 2010
We have shown theoretically that efficient multiple exciton generation (MEG) by a single photon can be observed in small nanocrystals (NCs). Our quantum simulations that include hundreds of thousands of exciton and multi-exciton states demonstrate that ...
