Attraction of Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Guenee) to Volatiles Emitted from Megathyrsus maximus (Jacq.)

open access: yes
This study reveals, for the first time, that the rice leaf folder Cnaphalocrocis medinalis is attracted to volatiles emitted from guinea grass (Megathyrsus maximus). Through advanced chemical analyses (HR-LCMS and GC-HRMS), the research identifies six key volatile compounds responsible for this attraction, including several phthalate esters and alkanes.
