An independently folded thumb domain from acid‐sensing ion channels (ASICs) preserves ligand‐binding and proton‐sensing properties. NMR‐based interaction and pKa analyses uncover how endogenous and exogenous peptides modulate ASICs, providing a simplified model for rational drug discovery targeting proton‐gated ion channels.

High resolution voltage LA map is shown with Ripple mapping during sinus rhythm prior to atrial fibrillation ablation (panel A‐D, top row Left Anterior Oblique view, bottom row Left Anterior Oblique Caudal view). Chamber activation is visualized by white Ripple bars, proceeding from the septum and septal roof (panel A), spreading clockwise and ...

Some clarifications on the relation between Bohmian quantum potential and Mach's principle
Mach's principle asserts that the inertial mass of a body is related to the distribution of other distant bodies. This means that in the absence of other bodies, a single body has no mass.

Here, we present the most complete dataset to date on the endosseous labyrinths of extant crocodylians. Using 3D geometric morphometrics, we show that allometry constitutes a major contributor of the shape variation of the crocodylian endosseous labyrinths and that the development of this structure is likely linked to the braincase conformation, in all

Fluctuation relation for heat exchange in Markovian open quantum systems
A fluctuation relation for the heat exchange of an open quantum system under a thermalizing Markovian dynamics is derived. We show that the probability of that the system absorbs an amount of heat from its bath, at a given time interval, divided by the ...

Field Theory and Colonialism: Indirect Colonial Situation as a Social Field in Egypt (1882–1922)
ABSTRACT This paper argues that Egypt under British rule (1882–1922) constituted a field of power in which the local state of Egypt and the British administration competed to dominate three key subfields to ensure control over a contested territory: the modern courts system, policing, and agricultural production.

Signals, Red Lines, and Collision: The Israel‐Iran Spiral and US Intervention
Abstract The Iran War erupted in February 2026 without UN authorization, and Washington's rationales—Iranian nuclear ambitions, missile capacity, and proxy threats—map more closely onto Israeli than US security interests. Why have we seen two major conflicts between these belligerents in less than one year?
