The Meiobenthos of Fjords: A Review and Prospectus

1980
The marine meiobenthos is a diverse assemblage of small (0.5 – 0.1 mm) metazoans living on and in the bottom of the sea. It includes most invertebrate phyla, especially nematodes and copepod crustaceans. Although meiofauna are ubiquitous, abundant and productive members of benthic ecosystems, their ecology in deep-water fjords is little studied.
