Passive‐acoustic evidence of lunar, temporal, and weather effects on the vocal activity of four coexisting forest owl species in southern Taiwan

open access: yesJournal of Avian Biology, Volume 2026, Issue 3, May 2026.
Lunar illumination and environmental conditions are known to shape vocal behavior of nocturnal birds, but few studies have simultaneously compared responses across multiple owl species. Using a full‐year passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) dataset from Yushan National Park, Taiwan, we investigated how four sympatric Strigidae species – mountain scops‐owl

Intrinsic PPG–ECG Coupling for Accurate and Low‐Power Blood Pressure Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 22, 17 April 2026.
A PPG–ECG coupling strategy for continuous blood pressure monitoring that intrinsically synchronizes signals within a single waveform is demonstrated, minimizing synchronization errors and hardware complexity. This approach halves power consumption while maintaining high accuracy, enabling compact, energy‐efficient wearable devices for personalized ...

Investigation of the failure characteristics of fissure tunnels under dynamic and static combinations

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, Volume 5, Issue 1, Page 43-55, March 2026.
This article aims to investigate the dynamic fracture response of fractured tunnel models under zero geological stress through physical experiments and numerical simulations. It further simulates the dynamic fracture characteristics of fractured tunnel models under geological stress ranging from 0 to 2.5 MPa using the numerical software AUTODYN ...

Identification of Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi) From Different Cultivars via LC–MS/MS and UPLC Coupled With Multivariate Chemometrics Analysis

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
A UPLC‐based quantitative analysis combined with multivariate chemometric methods differentiated seven Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium cultivars based on significant variations in nine flavonoids. Chemometric analysis effectively separated the seven cultivars, and hesperetin was identified as a unique marker for C. reticulata “Chachi”.
