Flooding and injustice in Ningbo, China

Geographical Research, Volume 64, Issue 1, February 2026.
Flooding can induce disproportionate impacts spatially and socially. By foregrounding voices from residents in Ningbo, the article finds that geographical and socioeconomic dynamics produce flood injustice between areas and groups in China. Flood prevention infrastructure might further amplify the injustice through risk redistribution.
