Detection of Heart rate through Speech Using Mel Frequency cepstrum coefficients

2019 3rd International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI), 2019
In this paper we have presented a method for the detection of heart rate using speech spectral features. The proposed methodology is used to measure an important physiological parameter called heart rate that can be used to diagnose several heart problems like arrhythmia, stroke, heart attack and have other applications like lie detectors for ...

Recognition of non-speech sounds using Mel-frequency cepstrum coefficients and dynamic time warping method

2015 23nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2015
With the developing technology, speech recognition systems are getting more space in our daily lives. Sounds in our environment are not only pure speech. Because of this, it is important for cochlear implants, unmanned vehicles and security systems to be able to recognize other sounds.

[Speaker identification based on Mel frequency cepstrum coefficient and complexity measure].

Sheng wu yi xue gong cheng xue za zhi = Journal of biomedical engineering = Shengwu yixue gongchengxue zazhi, 2007
In present, the most basically used parameters for speaker identification are linear predictive coding (LPC) parameter, Mel frequency cepstrum coefficient(MFCC), etc. First in this paper only MFCC was used as the parameter and then Lempel-Ziv Complexity was combined with MFCC as parameters.

Investigation of Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients parameters for classification of infant cries with hypothyroidism using MLP classifier

The 2010 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN), 2010
Hypothyroidism in infants is caused by insufficient production of hormones by the thyroid gland. Due to stress in the chest cavity due to the enlarged liver, the cry signals are unique and can be distinguished from healthy infant cries. We investigate the usage of the Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) classifier to diagnose infant hypothyroidism.

The Mel-frequency cepstrum coefficient for music emotion recognition in machine learning

2019
The Mel-frequency Cepstrum Coefficient (MFCC), a technique designed initially for speech analysis, has in recent years become very popular in music emotion recognition projects. MFCC uses the Mel scaling method to simulate human auditory properties, logarithmic noise reduction techniques, and the Discrete Cosine Transformation (DCT) to generalise all ...

Boosting Speech/Non-speech Classi.cation Using Averaged Mel-Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients Features

2002
AdaBoost is used to boost and select the best sequence of weak classifiers for the speech/non-speech classification. These weak classifiers are chosen the simple threshold functions. Statistical mean and variance of the Mel-frequency Cepstrum Coefficients(MFCC) over all overlapping frames of an audio file are used as audio features.

A Study of Speech, Speaker and Emotion Recognition Using Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients and Support Vector Machines

2018 International Conference on Communication and Signal Processing (ICCSP), 2018
With the advent of digitization of every possible avenue, Automatic Speech and Emotion Recognition is a widely researched topic that is a subset of Human Computer Interface (HCI) and has a range of applications. With machines taking over many menial jobs it has become important for the computer to understand us as we understand it.

[Study of biometric identification of heart sound base on Mel-Frequency cepstrum coefficient].

Sheng wu yi xue gong cheng xue za zhi = Journal of biomedical engineering = Shengwu yixue gongchengxue zazhi, 2013
Heart sound is a physiological parameter with individual characteristics generated by heart beat. To do the individual classification and recognition, in this paper, we present our study of using wavelet transform in the signal denoising, with the Mel-Frequency cepstrum coefficients (MFCC) as the feature parameters, and propose a research of reducing ...
