The Study of the Adhesive Activity and Modification Possibilities of Melamine-Urea-Formaldehyde (MUF), Urea-Formaldehyde (UF) Resins

open access: yesMaterial Science and Applied Chemistry, 2014
Two types of thermosetting resins MUF and UF have been used as glues for birch wood veneer. As resins modifiers polyvinylacetate emulsion (PVA), polyvinylbutiral (PVB) (powder and solution), rubber latex, adipic (Ad) and sebacic (Seb) acids have been utilized.

Production and Properties of Isocyanate-Bonded MDF Manufactured from Acacia Mangium [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Medium density fiberboards (MDF) were manufactured from fast-growing Acacia mangium wood. The boards were produced at two levels of density, 600 and 750 kg/m³. Isocyanate and urea- formaldehyde resin adhesives were used asbinders.

Effects of press pressure on glue line thickness and properties of laminated veneer lumber glued with melamine urea formaldehyde adhesive

open access: yesBioResources, 2012
Laminated veneer lumbers (LVLs) were manufactured from half-round sliced I-214 hybrid poplar clone veneers with MUF adhesives using press pressures ranging from 2.5 to 15 kg cm-2. The results showed that the press pressures affected the glue line thickness (GLT) and the physical and mechanical properties of the LVLs.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 52, December 29, 2025.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.
