Versatile roles of disordered transcription factor effector domains in transcriptional regulation

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Disordered effector domains (EDs) of transcription factors (TFs) play versatile roles in transcriptional regulation. These include mediating protein–protein interactions with protein complexes like, facilitating condensate formation to enhance transcriptional efficiency, modulating DNA‐binding specificity through genome scanning, and serving as hubs ...

Captive propagation and observations of the endangered species Cicindela (Abroscelis) anchoralis (Coleoptera: Carabidae: Cicindelinae) in South Korea

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
We studied a method for captive propagation of Cicindela (Abroscelis) anchoralis for reintroduction and reinforcement. We identified differences in the burrowing behaviour of larvae and applied the larval overwintering method during captive propagation.

Effective target genes for RNA interference‐based management of the cabbage stem flea beetle

open access: yesInsect Molecular Biology, EarlyView.
An oral RNAi screen consisting of 27 dsRNAs identified effective target genes for RNAi‐based pest control in the cabbage stem flea beetle The most effective target genes were involved in proteasomal pathways or gene expression, and their sequences were subjected to in silico off‐target analysis Knock‐down of some effective target genes also inhibited ...
