Melkite Translations of Byzantine Law-Books into Arabic
Abstract This chapter reconsiders the development of Melkite law, arguing that too narrow a focus on the thirteenth-century Melkite legal collection, and the associated assessment that it was the generally recognized foundation of Melkite law, distorts our picture.
