The technique of inverse Mellin transform for processes occurring in a background magnetic field [PDF]

open access: green, 2002
We develop the technique of inverse Mellin transform for processes occurring in a background magnetic field. We show by analyticity that the energy (momentum) derivatives of a field theory amplitude at the zero energy (momentum) is equal to the Mellin ...

Mellin Transforms of Whittaker Functions [PDF]

open access: bronzeCanadian Mathematical Bulletin, 2002
AbstractIn this note we show that for an arbitrary reductive Lie group and any admissible irreducible Banach representation the Mellin transforms of Whittaker functions extend to meromorphic functions. We locate the possible poles and show that they always lie along translates of walls of Weyl chambers.

Mellin transforms of p-adic Whittaker functions [PDF]

open access: greenarXiv, 2001
It is shown that Mellin transforms of p-adic Whittaker functions exist for generic characters. For good choices of vectors they are rational functions. For class one vectors they can be calculated explicitly. It turns out that they are automorphic L-factors times normalization factors.

The distribution of Mahler's measures of reciprocal polynomials

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2004
We study the distribution of Mahler's measures of reciprocal polynomials with complex coefficients and bounded even degree. We discover that the distribution function associated to Mahler's measure restricted to monic reciprocal polynomials is a ...

Solution of Fractional Order Equations in the Domain of the Mellin Transform

open access: yesJournal of Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences, 2019
This paper presents the Mellin transform for the solution of the fractional order equations. The Mellin transform approach occurs in many areas of applied mathematics and technology.

Partially Explore the Differences and Similarities between Riemann-Liouville Integral and Mellin Transform [PDF]

open access: goldFractal and Fractional, 2022
At present many researchers devote themselves to studying the relationship between continuous fractal functions and their fractional integral. But little attention is paid to the relationship between Mellin transform and fractional integral.

Estimates and properties of certain q-Mellin transform on generalized q-calculus theory

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2021
This paper deals with the generalized q-theory of the q-Mellin transform and its certain properties in a set of q-generalized functions. Some related q-equivalence relations, q-quotients of sequences, q-convergence definitions, and q-delta sequences are ...

Inverse Mellin Transform of Holonomic Sequences [PDF]

open access: greenarXiv, 2016
We describe a method to compute the inverse Mellin transform of holonomic sequences, that is based on a method to compute the Mellin transform of holonomic functions. Both methods are implemented in the computer algebra package HarmonicSums.

Mellin Transforms on Binary Fields

open access: bronzeApplied and Computational Harmonic Analysis, 2000
AbstractWe show that the Mellin transform on any binary field can be extended to a bounded linear isometry on L2. We also obtain an explicit formula for the corresponding inverse Mellin transform and prove that inversion holds when the Mellin transform is integrable.
