Mellin Transforms on Binary Fields

open access: bronzeApplied and Computational Harmonic Analysis, 2000
AbstractWe show that the Mellin transform on any binary field can be extended to a bounded linear isometry on L2. We also obtain an explicit formula for the corresponding inverse Mellin transform and prove that inversion holds when the Mellin transform is integrable.

Mellin transform for fractional integrals with general analytic kernel

open access: goldAIMS Mathematics, 2022
Many different operators of fractional calculus have been proposed, which can be organized in some general classes of operators. According to this study, the class of fractional integrals and derivatives can be classified into two main categories, that ...

Mellin transform of quartic products of shifted Airy functions [PDF]

open access: green, 2016
The Mellin transform of quartic products of shifted Airy functions is evaluated in a closed form. Some particular cases expressed in terms of the logarithm function and complete elliptic integrals special values are presented.Comment: Submitted to ...

Jumping hedges on the strength of the Mellin transform

open access: goldResults in Applied Mathematics, 2022
With more looming uncertainties in our present financial climate and environment, models with jump–diffusion more than ever are necessary. They are suited to reproduce the large and sudden fluctuations in the level of the underlying variable, and mimic ...

The Fractional Dunkl Laplacian: Definition and Harmonization via the Mellin Transform

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
In this paper, we extend the scope of the Tate and Ormerod Lemmas to the Dunkl setting, revealing a profound interconnection that intricately links the Dunkl transform and the Mellin transform.

Celestial Mellin amplitude

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Celestial holography provides a promising avenue to studying bulk scattering in flat spacetime from the perspective of boundary celestial conformal field theory (CCFT).

A Generalized Stochastic Cost–Volume–Profit Model

open access: yesSystems, 2021
Cost–volume–profit (CVP) analysis is a widely used decision tool across many business disciplines. The current literature on stochastic applications of the CVP model is limited in that the model is studied under the restrictive forms of the Gaussian and ...

The Mellin Transform of Logarithmic and Rational Quotient Function in terms of the Lerch Function

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
Upon reading the famous book on integral transforms volume II by Erdeyli et al., we encounter a formula which we use to derive a Mellin transform given by ∫0∞xm−1logkax/β2+x2γ+xdx, where the parameters a,k,β, and γ are general complex numbers.

Renormalization and Mellin Transforms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We study renormalization in a kinetic scheme using the Hopf algebraic framework, first summarizing and recovering known results in this setting. Then we give a direct combinatorial description of renormalized amplitudes in terms of Mellin transform coefficients, featuring the universal property of rooted trees H_R.
