α-Mellin Transform and One of Its Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
MSC 2010: 35R11, 44A10, 44A20, 26A33, 33C45We consider a generalization of the classical Mellin transformation, called α-Mellin transformation, with an arbitrary (fractional) parameter α > 0. Here we continue the presentation from the paper [5], where we

Non-abelian Mellin transformations and applications

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2022
Abstract We study non-abelian versions of the Mellin transformations, originally introduced by Gabber-Loeser on complex affine tori. Our main result is a generalisation to the non-abelian context and with arbitrary coefficients of the t-exactness of Gabber-Loeser’s Mellin transformation.

Character sum, reciprocity, and Voronoi formula

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 57, Issue 12, Page 3797-3823, December 2025.
Abstract We prove a novel four‐variable character sum identity that serves as a twisted, non‐Archimedean analog of Weber's integrals for Bessel functions. Using this identity and ideas from Venkatesh's thesis, we provide a short spectral proof of the Voronoi formulae for classical modular forms with character twists.

W‐algebras, Gaussian free fields, and g$\mathfrak {g}$‐Dotsenko–Fateev integrals

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 131, Issue 6, December 2025.
Abstract Based on the intrinsic connection between Gaussian free fields and the Heisenberg vertex algebra, we study some aspects of the correspondence between probability theory and W$W$‐algebras. This is first achieved by providing a construction of the W$W$‐algebra associated to a complex simple Lie algebra g$\mathfrak {g}$ by means of Gaussian free ...

Explicit height estimates for CM curves of genus 2

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 12, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract In this paper, we make explicit the constants of Habegger and Pazuki's work from 2017 on bounding the discriminant of cyclic Galois CM fields corresponding to genus 2 curves with CM and potentially good reduction outside a predefined set of primes. We also simplify some of the arguments.

Impact of N‐linked glycans on the dual short fibulin/LTBP‐4 axes regulating elastogenesis

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 292, Issue 21, Page 5676-5696, November 2025.
Elastic fiber assembly is orchestrated by multiple glycoproteins. We delineate the molecular basis of two key axes involved in elastic fiber formation—LTBP‐4L/fibulin‐4 and LTBP‐4S/fibulin‐5. We show that N‐linked glycans on these glycoproteins regulate their interactions and conformations, both of which are critical aspects in elastic fiber formation.

Mellin Transforms on Binary Fields

open access: yesApplied and Computational Harmonic Analysis, 2000
Some boundedness and inversion results are proved for a large class of operators on binary fields, i.e., on 2-series and 2-adic fields. As a special case, it is obtained, that the Mellin transform on any binary field can be extended to a bounded linear isometry on \(L_2\).

Coral Bleaching: The Equatorial‐Refugia Hypothesis

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology, Volume 31, Issue 11, November 2025.
Marine heatwaves continue to pose a threat to coral reefs worldwide. However, refugia may help sustain coral populations. We used data from 30,000+ surveys worldwide, spanning from 2002 to 2020, to identify the environmental conditions that may characterize marine‐heatwave refugia.
