Nonpersistence of resonant caustics in perturbed elliptic billiards

open access: yes, 2011
Caustics are curves with the property that a billiard trajectory, once tangent to it, stays tangent after every reflection at the boundary of the billiard table.

Multidimensional integrable vacuum cosmology with two curvatures [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The vacuum cosmological model on the manifold $R \times M_1 \times \ldots \times M_n$ describing the evolution of $n$ Einstein spaces of non-zero curvatures is considered. For $n = 2$ the Einstein equations are reduced to the Abel (ordinary differential)

Lectotypifications and taxonomic changes in the holoparasitic Orobanchaceae

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Based on further extensive studies of specimens in various herbaria, lectotypes are designated for many taxa of holoparasitic Orobanchaceae. In particular, 47 names in the genera Boschniakia (incl. Xylanche), Cistanche, Orobanche, Phelipanche and Phelypaea are lectotypified.

On the Melnikov function

open access: yesریاضی و جامعه, 2023
In this article, we have tried to introduce one of the most important topics in the subject of dynamical systems, namely the Melnikov function, in simple language. Melnikov function is one of the tools that can express the effect of the small perturbation on the homoclinic orbits.

Macrocyclic Molecular Glues for the 14‐3‐3/ChREBP Interaction: Affinity and Cooperativity in an Inverse Relationship

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 6, 2 February 2026.
Macrocycles are effective molecular glues to stabilize the 14‐3‐3/ChREBP interaction. Linker length modulation uncovered an inverse correlation between the macrocycle binding affinity to 14‐3‐3 and its cooperativity in 14‐3‐3/ChREBP stabilization.

Investigations of Modified Classical Dynamical Models: Melnikov’s Approach, Simulations and Applications, and Probabilistic Control of Perturbations

open access: yesMathematics
We suggest a few kinds of extended classical oscillators in this study. We present a few specific modules for examining these oscillators’ behavior. This will be an essential component of a broader web-based scientific computing platform that is in the ...

Spectral conservation laws for periodic nonlinear equations of the Melnikov type

open access: yes, 2008
We consider the nonlinear equations obtained from soliton equations by adding self-consistent sources. We demonstrate by using as an example the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation that such equations on periodic functions are not isospectral.

Offspring performance does not explain oviposition preference in the leafminer Stigmella sorbi (Lepidoptera: Nepticulidae): a tri‐trophic perspective

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
We studied oviposition site selection in a leaf‐mining moth (Stigmella sorbi) on rowan trees (Sorbus aucuparia) in northwestern Russia, assessing larval performance across different shoot types, leaf positions, and leaflets. Larval survival was highest on long vegetative shoots, yet females showed no preference for these optimal sites.

On analogues of black brane solutions in the model with multicomponent anisotropic fluid

open access: yes, 2010
A family of spherically symmetric solutions with horizon in the model with m-component anisotropic fluid is presented. The metrics are defined on a manifold that contains a product of n-1 Ricci-flat "internal" spaces.

Impulsive perturbations to differential equations: stable/unstable pseudo-manifolds, heteroclinic connections, and flux [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
State-dependent time-impulsive perturbations to a two-dimensional autonomous flow with stable and unstable manifolds are analysed by posing in terms of an integral equation which is valid in both forwards- and backwards-time.
