Soil fumigation for nematodes: Nematocides tested for the control of root-knot nematodes affecting fresh market and canning tomato crops in California

open access: yesCalifornia Agriculture, 1957
Widespread damage to tomatoes in California is caused by two root-knot nematode species—Meloidogyne incognita var. acrita and M. javanica.

The Influence of Temperature on Meloidogyne incognita on Soybean.

open access: yesJournal of nematology, 2011
The effects of temperature and initial inoculum density of Meloidogyne incognita on soybean growth and nematode reproduction were investigated in greenhouse temperature tanks and in controlled-growth chambers. The interactions of initial inoculum density (P(i)) and soil temperature in effects on shoot growth were adequately described by multiple ...

Dynamics of damage to tomato by Meloidogyne incognita

open access: yes, 1998

A Method for Generating Meloidogyne incognita Males.

open access: yesJournal of nematology, 2012
A method for producing mass quantities of Meloidogyne incognita males free from other developmental stages was developed. Host plants were grown hydroponically to facilitate nematode harvest. Pruning stress was shown to cause a higher percentage of juveniles to develop as males vs. a no-stress control.

A Method for Field Infestation with Meloidogyne incognita.

open access: yesJournal of nematology, 2011
A field inoculation method was developed to produce Meloidogyne spp. infestation sites with minimal quantities of nematode inoculum and with a reduced labor requirement compared to previous techniques. In a preseason-methyl bromidefumigated site, nematode egg suspensions were delivered at concentrations of 0 or 10(x) eggs/m of row where x = 2.12, 2.82,
