Production of Male Meloidogyne Spp. and Attraction To Their Females

Nematologica, 1972
Meloidogyne arenaria males emerged from balsam roots 40 to 139 days after inoculation. Females were seen inside roots about 30 days after inoculation. Sex and the size of males are influenced by population density: the greater the number of larvae in the roots the larger the ratio of males to females and the shorter the males.

Isozyme patterns of exotic Meloidogyne spp. populations.

2005
Isozyme patterns of esterase (EST), malate dehydrogenase (MDH) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were used to determine the species of 13 Meloidogyne isolates from populations originating from India (6), Venezuela (5), Cuba (1), and Egypt (1) and collected from different hosts (groundnut, Coffea arabica, tomato, sweet potato, cassava, guava and grape). Enzyme phenotypes of Meloidogyne spp. associated with bananas in Martinique

2000
Root-knot nematodes (#Meloidogyne# spp.) are more and more frequently found associated with bananas in the Antilla, in place of #Radopholus similis# in the root system, especially on plants issued from micro-propagated plants after fallows. Considering in some cases the high level of these root-knot infestations, it seemed interesting to know what ...
