A Safety‐Engineered Organic–Inorganic Composite Separator Enabling Fire‐Extinguishing and Dendrite‐Free Lithium Metal Battery Operation

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops a highly‐safe, stable lithium‐metal battery employing an organic‐inorganic composite separator (PP/Al2O3/APP‐PAA), whose ultrathin high‐polarity polymer network homogenizes lithium‐ion flux, induces a robust inorganic‐rich solid‐electrolyte interphase, suppresses dendrite growth and achieves rapid self‐extinguishment for superior ...

Colonic Barrier Dysfunction and Inflammation Induced by Nano‐/Micro‐Plastics Fibers in Mice via the FAK/NF‐κB/iNOS and TLR4/NF‐κB/iNOS Pathways

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As emerging environmental contaminants, nano‐ and micro‐plastics (NMPs) have drawn increasing research attention due to potential hazards to organisms. Particle shape is a key factor influencing the toxic effects of NMPs, and NMPs of different shapes cause varying degrees of tissue damage. We investigated the specific mechanisms of polystyrene

Gradient‐Structured Polymer Fiber Mats for Broadly Tunable Multicolor and White Lasing

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Hierarchically engineered electrospun fiber mats containing separated red, green, and blue dyes enable highly tunable multicolor and white random lasing. Spatially controlled dye distribution suppresses energy transfer, allowing precise color adjustment across wide color gamuts and accurate reproduction of daylight white standards.

Impact of Monomer Purity on the Acid‐Catalyzed ROP of Sarcosine N‐Carboxyanhydrides: A Comparative Study of Phosgene‐Free Synthetic Routes toward High‐Molecular‐Weight Polysarcosine

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
A robust, phosgene‐free oxalyl chloride/silyl‐mediated route yields high‐purity sarcosine N‐carboxyanhydride (Sar‐NCA) by eliminating residual impurities that compromise polymerization control. This strategy enables well‐defined, acid‐catalyzed ring‐opening polymerization under ambient conditions, producing polysarcosine with Mn up to 186 kDa and ...
