Molecular dynamics simulations of the melting curve of NiAl alloy under pressure
The melting curve of B2-NiAl alloy under pressure has been investigated using molecular dynamics technique and the embedded atom method (EAM) potential. The melting temperatures were determined with two approaches, the one-phase and the two-phase methods.

Development of Sn-9Zn Solder Alloy by Adding Bismuth
Tin-Zinc based on solder is a probable changing of lead element solder as a result of its enhanced mechanical characteristics. This alloy needs to be studied and explored to get a usable solder alloy having better properties.

Iron melting curve with a tricritical point
Solidification as a first order phase transition is described in the Landau theory by the same equation as tricritical phenomena. Here, the solidification or melting temperature against pressure curve is modelled to end at a tricritical point.

Interaction of laser radiation with the material during production powders and fibers
The effect of laser radiation on a solid body leads to a change in the temperature field of the processed substance. The nature of heating, which is determined by the rate of change in temperature and temperature gradients, is different depending on the ...

Phase transitions in argon films [PDF]
We present heat-capacity data detailing the evolution of the first six layers of argon adsorbed on graphite foam. The second and third layers have liquid-solid-gas triple points similar to the first layer.

Impact of different harvest times on ash fusibility of energy grasses
Five different energy grass plants (reed canary grass, tall fescue, orchardgrass, tall oatgrass, red top) were identified and studied for the purpose of determining the fuel energy qualities of the plants' mass while focusing on ash fusion temperatures ...

Melting Point and Lattice Parameter Shifts in Supported Metal Nanoclusters
The dependencies of the melting point and the lattice parameter of supported metal nanoclusters as functions of clusters height are theoretically investigated in the framework of the uniform approach.

Effect of Additives on Some Physical Parameters of Palm Oil
Effect of additives (carrot, lime, paw paw and red dye) on the density, viscosity, moisture content and melting point of palm oil (PO) was investigated by dissolving 1g of each additive to 10 mL of pre-analysed oil in a beaker. The mixture was heated and
