ACE‐mediated Glycosylation Stabilizes PSAP To Promote GPR37‐dependent Macrophage‐Nucleus Pulposus Cells Crosstalk and TGFβ Signaling in Alleviating Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ACE can modulate the CBL‐mediated K48 ubiquitination degradation of PSAP by altering its glycosylation levels in NP cells. As a result, NP cells secrete PSAP, which interacts with GPR37 on macrophage surfaces, facilitating their polarization toward the M2 phenotype. These M2 macrophages subsequently secrete TGFβ, which exerts feedback effects on the NP

Vitamin D Binding Protein, a Ligand of Integrin beta 1, Motivates Both Tumor Cells and Schwann Cells to Promote Perineural Invasion in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Group‐specific component protein (GC) promotes perineural invasion (PNI) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) by activating Schwann cell dedifferentiation and by enhancing tumor–Schwann cell chemoattraction, independently of vitamin D transport. Integrin β1 (ITGB1) functions as a GC receptor in both cancer cells and Schwann cells.

PIEZO Force Sensing in Vascular Biology: An Explosion of New Knowledge, Concepts and Opportunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Knowledge of the remarkable mechanical force sensing and electrically transducing PIEZO1 and PIEZO2 channels is discussed across vascular biology and its cell types from the embryonic to adult stages in health, disease and old age. How the channels work, relate to other factors and signal for tissue responses to mechanical forces is debated.

Mechanotransduction in Shaping Immunity: Pathways, Crosstalk, and Pathophysiological Relevance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review comprehensively summarizes the role of mechanotransduction in shaping immunity. It details how immune cells respond to biomechanical cues via mechanotransduction cascades and emphasizes the mechanical crosstalks within the immune microenvironment. The emerging significance of mechanoimmunology in both health and diseases is also highlighted.

Non‐Destructively Quantifying the Whole‐Course Growth and Drug‐Response of PDOs by an Automatic Microfluidic System Utilizing Chemiluminescence Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The detection of secreted biomarkers enables molecular variations monitoring of organoid status. In this study, the non‐destructive quantification for the whole‐course growth and drug‐response of PDOs is first realized using a multifunctional microfluidic chip‐based system(ASMO) that integrates culturing, drug incubation, and biomarker detection ...
