Memory, Re-memory and Post-memory
Matatu, 2021Abstract For the Indian diaspora their new lives in the Imperial colonies became the present and the country left behind became memory. As the diasporics tried to recall the past, they dealt in what Toni Morrison has called the act of re-memory. Pheroze Nowrojee’s re-telling of the tale of his grandfather, who went from India to Kenya to run the ...

The key interrelated issues in the neurobiology of memory are to identify the neural circuitries essential for memory formation, localize sites of memory storage and analyze mechanisms of memory formation, storage and retrieval. Several circuits have now been identified in vertebrates and researchers are investigating their properties, in particular ...

Regarding the workings of the human mind, memory and pattern recognition seem to be intertwined. You generally do not have one without the other. Taking inspiration from life experience, a new form of computer memory has been devised. Certain conjectures about human memory are keys to the central idea.

Proceedings of the 10th annual conference on Genetic and evolutionary computation, 2008
Based in part on observations about the incremental nature of most state changes in biological systems, we introduce the idea of Memory with Memory in Genetic Programming (GP), where we use "soft" assignments to registers instead of the "hard" assignments used in most computer science (including traditional GP).
