Q Fever in Africa: A Systematic Review of Prevalence, Zoonotic Potential and Disease Burden

Q fever is widespread across Africa, with livestock as the primary source of human infections. Although some prevalence data exist, its economic burden is still lacking. Conspecific cueing or cooperative feeding?—Foraging stable flies are visually attracted to conspecific flies

In two‐choice laboratory bioassays, food‐deprived and CO2‐stimulated stable flies were offered paired landing platforms that were baited or not (control) with conspecific flies. The presence of conspecifics prompted the attraction and landing of foraging stable flies.
