Was macht Mathematik effektiv?
„Ob ich die Mathematik auf ein Paar Dreckklumpen anwende, die wir Planeten nennen, oder auf rein arithmetische Probleme, es bleibt sich gleich, die letztern haben nur noch einen höhern Reiz für mich”, soll Gauß gesagt haben. Aus unserer Sicht ist es ein Geben und Nehmen auf gleicher Augenhöhe zwischen Mathematik und anderen Wissenschaften.

Can a ground‐based vehicle hear the shape of a room?
Abstract Assume that a ground‐based vehicle moves in a room with walls or other planar surfaces. Can the vehicle reconstruct the positions of the walls from the echoes of a single sound event? We assume that the vehicle carries some microphones and that a loudspeaker is either also mounted on the vehicle or placed at a fixed location in the room.

The engineering and construction sector is vital to a country’s economic growth, financial activities, and development. These sectors generate opportunities for the unemployed, unskilled, and skilled workforce. Recently, a lot of researchers worked on the Aczel–Alsina t‐norm (TN) and t‐conorm (TCN), which are generalizing many other t‐norms and ...

Unique Common Fixed Points for Occasionally Weakly Biased Maps of Type A in b‐Metric‐Like Spaces
We start this work by demonstrating the existence of unique common fixed points for two pairs of occasionally weakly biased maps of type A in a b‐metric‐like space, and we end it by producing two illustrative examples in order to support and show that our results are meaningful.

Kaleva‐Seikkala’s Type Fuzzy b‐Metric Spaces and Several Contraction Mappings
In this paper, we introduce the concept of Kaleva‐Seikkala’s type fuzzy b‐metric spaces as a generalization of the notion of b‐metric spaces and fuzzy metric spaces. In such spaces, we establish Banach type, Reich type, and Chatterjea type fixed‐point theorems, which improve the relevant results in fuzzy metric spaces. Two technical lemmas are employed

A Defect Localization Approach Based on Improved Areal Coordinates and Machine Learning
The defects are usually generated during the structural materials subjected to external loads. Elucidating the position distribution of defects using acoustic emission (AE) technique provides the basis for investigating the failure mechanism and prevention of materials and estimating the location of the potentially dangerous sources.

Ordered Uniform Convexity in Ordered Convex Metric Spaces with an Application to Fixed Point Theory
In this paper, we introduce the concept of ordered uniform convexity in ordered convex metric spaces and study some properties of order uniform convexity. Finally, as application, we connect our results with existence of fixed points for monotone non‐expansive mappings defined on these spaces.

Maximal Soft Compact and Maximal Soft Connected Topologies
In various articles, it is said that the class of all soft topologies on a common universe forms a complete lattice, but in this paper, we prove that it is a complete lattice. Some soft topologies are maximal, and some are minimal with respect to specific soft topological properties. We study the properties of soft compact and soft connected topologies
