Strabismus and meningomyelocele
Documenta Ophthalmologica, 1981About a half of a group of patients with meningomyelocele have some form of squint. The occurrence of squint appears to be related to the occurrence of hydrocephalus. The incidence of squint increases with the existence of epileptic symptoms and with a low level of intelligence. Amblyopia is seldom seen in the patients with convergent squint.
