Liquid meniscus friction on a wet plate: Bubbles, lamellae and foams
Many microfluidics devices, coating processes or diphasic flows involve the motion of a liquid meniscus on a wet wall. This motion induces a specific viscous force, that exhibits a non-linear dependency in the meniscus velocity.

Is the pull-out force of the Meniscus Arrow in bone affected by the inward curling of the barbs during biodegradation? An in vitro study [PDF]
Background: Inward curling of the barbs of Meniscus Arrows during degradation was observed in a previous study, in which swelling, distention, and water uptake by Meniscus Arrows was evaluated.

Filling transition for a wedge
We study the formation and the shape of a liquid meniscus in a wedge with opening angle $2\phi$ which is exposed to a vapor phase. By applying a suitable effective interface model, at liquid-vapor coexistence and at a temperature $T_{\phi}$ we find a ...

Hypermobile Anterior Horn of the Lateral Meniscus: A Case Report and Literature Review
Hypermobile meniscus is known as one of the causes of knee pain and locking or limitation of the range of motion during knee flexion, even when there is no evidence of meniscus tear on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Annual trends in arthroscopic meniscus surgery: Analysis of a national database in Japan. [PDF]
The importance of meniscus preservation is widely recognized. There have been a few studies describing trends in meniscectomy and meniscus repair in the United States; however, they presented differing results.

A multifunctional memristor is demonstrated for in‐memory sensing and computing, leveraging a MoWS₂/VOx heterojunction to enable high ON/OFF ratio up to 10⁸ with ultralow operating voltages of ±0.2 V. This bio‐inspired multimodal design exhibits tunable synaptic behavior across electrical, optical, and humidity stimuli, enabling in situ modulation of ...

The marching velocity of the capillary meniscus in a microchannel [PDF]
In this paper we describe an experimental method and an analytical model for characterizing the surface energy inside a microchannel of micrometer size by measuring the marching velocity or position of a capillary meniscus.

Three-dimensional meniscus allograft sizing—a study of 280 healthy menisci
Background Inaccurate meniscus allograft size is still an important problem of the currently used sizing methods. The purpose of this study was to evaluate a new three-dimensional (3D) meniscus-sizing method to increase the accuracy of the selected ...
