Menopon picicola: a new junior synonym of Menacanthus pici (Insecta: Phthiraptera: Menoponidae)
Zootaxa, 2021Packard (1873) described Menopon picicola as a new species, based on ten lice taken from two species of woodpeckers of the genus Picoides—P. arcticus (Swainson, 1832) and P. dorsalis Baird, 1858—collected in Wyoming, U.S.A. in August 1872. Two species of click beteles are described as new: Cardiophorus hiemalis sp. nov. distinct by long thin antennae, absence of a longitudinal process on the pronotum and a short first tarsal segment. Melanotus badchysicus sp. nov. differs from group M. humi-lis Schw. by a thin punctuation pronotum, antennal structure and male genitalia.

Nosopon clayae sp. n. (Mallophaga: Menoponidae) from Pernis apivorus
The Journal of Parasitology, 1963Nosopon clayae sp. n. is described from the type host, Pernis apivorus (Linn.), the honey buzzard, from Sweden. While studying the menoponid lice from raptors, we obtained a collection of four females and four males of an undescribed species of Nosopon Hopkins, 1950, from a honey buzzard, Pernis apivorus (Linn.).
