Stretch‐Induced Muscle Responses Under Threat Versus Safety

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 64, Issue 7, October 2026.
We investigated muscular stretch reflexes under threat of shock and in safe conditions. We found that EMG activity from 100 ms after perturbation was modulated by stress in a task‐specific (and not task‐general) way.
