Shannon Entropy of Gray Matter Eigenmodes: A Novel Biomarker for Alzheimer's Disease and Heterogeneous MCI Trajectories

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Entropy derived from gray matter eigenmodes captures cortical disorganization in Alzheimer's disease. Using multimodal MRI and amyloid‐PET data, this novel structure–function coupling biomarker enables accurate classification of clinical stages, predicts Aβ burden, and stratifies mild cognitive impairment subtypes.
