Abstract The Mesozoic subduction history of the Paleo‐Pacific plate below the East Asian margin remains contentious, in part because the southern part is poorly understood. To address this, we conducted a sediment provenance study to constrain Mesozoic subduction history below West Sarawak, Borneo.

Microbialenhanced oil recovery has gained more attention in recent years due to its low cost and eco‐friendliness. However, studies on the application of this technique in the low‐permeability reservoirs are few. In this study, eight strains from the Ordos Basin low‐permeability reservoir that produce biosurfactant and reduce viscosity were identified.

Performance Evaluation of Bacterial Consortia from Low‐Permeability Reservoir in Ordos Basin
The combination of strains of different species and genera may enhance the effects of single bacteria, surpass the tolerance upper limit, and optimize the viscosity reduction and degradation. In this study, six strains were isolated in low permeability layers of the Ordos Basin and were combined to verify the effect of the consortium strains.

Abstract Microbial processes sour oil, corrode equipment, and degrade hydrocarbons at an annual global cost to the oil and gas industry of nearly $2 billion. However, top‐down control of these microbial processes can reduce their damage and enhance oil recovery.

Study on the application potential of lipopeptide fermentation broth in oil recovery
In this paper, the performance of lipopeptide fermentation liquid was studied, and xanthan gum was innovatively used to give full play to the role of lippeptide, and the emulsification mechanism of lipopeptide fermentation liquid was studied. Abstract Microbial flooding is a new enhanced‐oil‐recovery technology for the petroleum industry. In this study,
