On the refinements of Jensen Mercer's inequality

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2012
In this paper we give refinements of Jensen-Mercer's inequality and its generalizations and give applications for means. We prove \(n\)-exponential convexity of the functions constructed from these refinements. At the end we discuss some examples.

Hadamard–Mercer, Dragomir–Agarwal–Mercer, and Pachpatte–Mercer Type Fractional Inclusions for Convex Functions with an Exponential Kernel and Their Applications

open access: yes, 2022
Many scholars have recently become interested in establishing integral inequalities using various known fractional operators. Fractional calculus has grown in popularity as a result of its capacity to quickly solve real-world problems.

On a variant of the Jensen-Mercer inequality for operators [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Inequalities, 2008
Some refinements of the Jensen-Mercer inequality for operators are presented. Obtained results are used to refine some comparision inequalities between power and quasi-arithmetic means for operators.

On Some New Ostrowski–Mercer-Type Inequalities for Differentiable Functions

open access: yesAxioms, 2022
In this paper, we establish a new integral identity involving differentiable functions, and then we use the newly established identity to prove some Ostrowski–Mercer-type inequalities for differentiable convex functions.

A counterpart to Jensen-Mercer inequality

open access: yesAdvances in Inequalities and Applications, 2020
The main goal of this paper is to point out some refinements of the reverse of the Jensen-Mercer inequality.

Reverse Jensen-Mercer Type Operator Inequalities

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Linear Algebra, 2016
Let $A$ be a selfadjoint operator on a Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ with spectrum in an interval $[a,b]$ and $\phi:B(\mathcal{H})\rightarrow B(\mathcal{K})$ be a unital positive linear map, where $\mathcal{K}$ is also a Hilbert space.

The impact of the current student loans regime on Muslim student engagement and retention in English higher education

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract There is much interest in the potential for an alternative funding system for higher education students in England to support the spiritual and worldly needs of British Muslim students. At the heart of this issue lies a tension over whether the student financing system in English HE is haram, or forbidden under Islamic (Shari'ah) law, because ...

Beyond salaries: Teachers' experiences of navigating early years education amid economic instability in Türkiye

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract The intersection of economic conditions and early years education has long been debated, particularly where financial constraints shape educational practice and professional realities. Türkiye, characterised by high inflation and structural vulnerabilities in purchasing power parity, provides a critical context for examining how economic ...

Mitigating Health Disparities Through Empathetic Policymaking During Times of Crisis

open access: yesPublic Administration and Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The COVID‐19 pandemic greatly exacerbated the existing disparities and inequities in health and healthcare among historically marginalized populations. Today, these impacts still echo. These persistent structured inequities erode the public's trust in government, lead to failure in public policies, and result in worse health consequences ...

It's Not You, It's the System: Women Professors in TESOL and the Persistence of Gender Bias

open access: yesTESOL Quarterly, EarlyView.
Abstract Although progress has been made with respect to the role and position of women in academia, overt and covert discrimination as well as structural and systemic bias persist. In this article, we report on research conducted with 14 women professors from 10 different countries to explore to what extent these issues affect women professors in ...
