Distribution Characteristics of Total Mercury in Imported Coals at Shanghai Port
As China swings from being a net coal exporter into the world's largest coal importer, mercury in imported coals has become an increasingly significant source of atmospheric mercury pollution. The research of distribution characteristics of total mercury

The Chemical Composition of Mercury [PDF]
The chemical composition of a planetary body reflects its starting conditions modified by numerous processes during its formation and geological evolution. Measurements by X-ray, gamma-ray, and neutron spectrometers on the MESSENGER spacecraft revealed Mercury's surface to have surprisingly high abundances of the moderately volatile elements sodium ...

Thermogravimetric and distillation studies on mercury, antimony and arsenic sulfides [PDF]
Thermogravimetric studies were made on naturally occurring sulfides of mercury, antimony and arsenic to determine activation energies and Arrhenius rates of reaction in vacuum and in atmospheres of air and nitrogen. Of the three sulfides only antimony

Near‐Field Phonon Nanoscopy and Imaging of Structural Variants in Mixed Phase BiFeO3
Nano‐Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scattering scanning near‐field optical microscopy imaging reveal the phonon response of nanoscale phase variants in mixed‐phase BiFeO3 (BFO). Direct mid‐infrared imaging of associated distinct vibrational signatures is used as a non‐invasive optical detection method for electrical switching of ...

Etching of High Purity Zinc [PDF]
A method of etching high purity zinc to reveal various etch figures on {101¯0} planes is presented in this paper. Etch figures are formed by polishing in a dichromic acid solution after the introduction of mercury to the crystal surface.

Dynamical Constraints on Mercury's Collisional Origin [PDF]
Of the solar system's four terrestrial planets, the origin of Mercury is perhaps the most mysterious. Modern numerical simulations designed to model the dynamics of terrestrial planet formation systematically fail to replicate Mercury; which possesses just 5% the mass of Earth and the highest orbital eccentricity and inclination among the planets ...

Global mercury emissions to the atmosphere from anthropogenic and natural sources
. This paper provides an up-to-date assessment of global mercury emissions from anthropogenic and natural sources. On an annual basis, natural sources account for 5207 Mg of mercury released to the global atmosphere, including the contribution from re ...

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.
