Mining an Anthropocene in Japan: On the making and work of geological imaginaries

open access: yesTransactions of the Institute of British Geographers, Volume 50, Issue 3, September 2025.

Embracing Complexity: Peptides as Tunable Scaffolds in the Construction of Discrete Supramolecular Systems

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 34, August 18, 2025.
The inherent chirality, tunability, biocompatibility, and robustness of peptides provide an exciting opportunity for supramolecular chemistry. In this mini‐review, we explore uses of peptides in discrete supramolecular systems, how chemists can draw inspiration from larger biological assemblies, and discuss how embracing the complexity of peptide ...

Effects of fermentable fiber and polyphenol supplementation on mood and cognition in adults during hypobaric hypoxia exposure

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 13, Issue 17, September 2025.
Abstract This study investigated the effects of fermentable fiber and polyphenol supplementation on mood and cognition following rapid ascent to simulated 4300 m. Healthy adults (n = 13, 21 ± 3 years) participated in a randomized, placebo‐controlled crossover study consisting of three, 2‐week phases separated by ≥1 week.
