Adsorbents for Mercury Vapor Removal [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Air Pollution Control Association, 1979
Inert materials such as Chromasorb W solid particles and glass fiber filters coated with palladium chloride (PdCl/sub 2/) were developed to use as an adsorbent for a dry mercury vapor recovery process and as an analytical tool to measure the mercury concentration of a contaminated gas stream.

Economic evaluation of mercury removal from flue gas by recyclable CuCl2 modified magnetospheres catalyst for 1000 MW coal-fired power plant

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
Economic sustainability is one of the main factors restricting development of mercury pollution control technology in the flue gas. Renewable magnetospheres separated from fly ash can be used as adsorbent for mercury removal from coal-fired flue gas ...

Method selection for mercury removal from hard coal

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2017
Mercury is commonly found in coal and the coal utilization processes constitute one of the main sources of mercury emission to the environment. This issue is particularly important for Poland, because the Polish energy production sector is based on brown

Study on Mercury Emissions and Ash Characteristics of 600 MW Brown Coal-Fired Unit

open access: yes发电技术, 2023
The mercury migration and conversion characteristics of the lignite unit is not clear. The mercury concentration were measured by 30B method at five flue gas sampling points (before and after SCR, before low-temperature economizer, before and after ...

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

A Factorial Analysis Study on Removal of Mercury by Palm Oil Fuel Ash Adsorbent

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2017
Mercury is an extremely toxic pollutant that currently being emitted and distributed globally. The exposure of the mercury will mainly cause health effect and the exposure can be in term of dose, age of person exposed and duration of exposed.

The activation of hydrogen by excited mercury atoms [PDF]

open access: yes, 1925
That mercury atoms excited by absorption of the line 2537Å are able to activate various kinds of atoms by collisions of the second kind has been shown in several different ways.

Crucial parameters for precise copy number variation detection in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded solid cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.
