Typification of some names of Graffenrieda (Melastomataceae: Merianieae)
Phytotaxa, 2019In order to provide nomenclature and taxonomic clarity, nine lectotypes are designated for plants currently circumscribed in Graffenrieda. In addition, the typification for some species was analyzed and clarified and we discuss the occurrence of three cases of inadvertent lectotypifications.

Phytotaxa, 2016Two new species of Graffenrieda are described from the Amazon rainforest. Graffenrieda maturaca is characterized mainly by its leaves which are dull on the adaxial surface, chartaceous, narrowly elliptic to oblanceolate, and apparently uni-nerved, with only the median acrodromous vein evident.

Brittonia, 1990Tessmannianthus cereifolius, a new species from eastern Panama, is described, illustrated, and compared to its closest presumed relative,T. heterostemon of Ecuador and Peru. Biogeographical and ecological data suggest that the new species is a narrow-range endemic of northern Peruvian Amazonia, restricted to a particular geological formation.
