A PLETHORA3/7 transcription factor shapes cucumber shoot architecture

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Summary PLETHORA transcription factors (PLTs) are master regulators of plant development. Loss of shoot meristematic PLTs leads to reduced phyllotactic regularity and robustness in Arabidopsis and increased inflorescence branching in tomato. Whether these factors have similar functions in other species is not known.

Novel Plant Regeneration and Transient Gene Expression in Catharanthus roseus

open access: yesAll Results Journals: Biol, 2015
Catharanthus roseus genetic transformation represents a real challenge due, in part, to the lack of regeneration capability and this species’ recalcitrance to genetic transformation. In the present work, we demonstrate the regeneration of C.

Static Magnetic Field Promotes Wheat Nitrogen Assimilation by Repressing Jasmonates Biosynthesis Through TaHY5

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The magnetic field is a continuously present environmental factor. It has been found that many species, including plants, can sense and utilise it. However, the effects of the magnetic field on plants and its potential utilisation, especially in crops, have been little explored.

Florigen Activation Complex Dynamics and SVP‐Mediated Repression Orchestrate Temperature‐Regulated Flowering in Saffron

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Saffron, a high‐value spice cultivated worldwide for its therapeutic and culinary uses, is a sterile triploid species, rendering conventional breeding approaches ineffective. This limitation underscores the need for molecular and biotechnological strategies for its genetic improvement. Flowering, a key determinant of saffron yield, is strongly
