Efficient Hot Carrier Management in Lead Halide Perovskite Micro‐Disks Revealed by Super‐Diffusive Migration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hot‐carrier transport in metal halide perovskites is investigated using spatiotemporally‐resolved photoluminescence microscopy. Mesa‐shaped MAPbBr3 microdisks exhibit anomalous super‐diffusive carrier propagation on nanosecond timescales, driven by hot‐carrier stabilization and strong carrier–phonon coupling.

Engineering Slow‐Carrier Interfacial Recombination Enables Tailored Spectral Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that weak‐drift slow carriers are preferentially captured at generic semiconductor surfaces/interfaces and recombine. This process is manipulated to achieve tailored spectral response. A tens of µm‐wide depletion region is created to observe surface collection rates for photocarriers generated at different positions.

Biotic stress: a significant contributor to organic aerosol in Europe? [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2014
We have investigated the potential impact on organic aerosol formation from biotic stress-induced emissions (SIE) of organic molecules from forests in Europe (north of lat. 45° N). Emission estimates for sesquiterpenes (SQT), methyl salicylate (MeSA) and

Low Thermal Resistance Architectures for AlGaN‐Based Semiconductor Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering channel thickness and substrate material significantly improves thermal management in AlGaN RF devices. A 5 nm AlGaN channel integrated on an AlN substrate achieved a record‐low thermal resistance of 3.96 K·mm${\rm K}\cdot{\rm mm}$/W, representing an 88.7% reduction compared with 500 nm AlGaN‐on‐sapphire devices.

High‐Detectivity InGaAs/GaAsP Superlattice PIN Photodetector with a Thin Absorber on GaAs substrate for 1100 nm Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A high‐performance strain‐compensated InGaAs/GaAsP superlattice SWIR photodetector was successfully grown by MOCVD on a scalable 100 mm GaAs platform. Combining excellent structural quality with strong optoelectronic performance, the device delivers a low dark current density of 2.3 × 10−7 A/cm2 and a detectivity of 1.9 × 1011 Jones at 1100 nm ...

InGaP/GaAs/InGaAs Multijunction Flexible Photovoltaics With Chemical Robustness and Radiation Hardness for Unassisted Electrocatalysis and Space Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A flexible InGaP/GaAs/InGaAs triple‐junction platform encapsulated with ultrathin glass enables unassisted electrocatalysis and space applications by providing robust protection against chemically aggressive and radiation‐rich environments. This work establishes a unified III–V multijunction photovoltaic platform that bridges space photovoltaics and ...
