Dört asır idaremiz altında bulunan Kudüs’ü 9 Kasım 1917’de İngilizler’e terketmek zorunda kalmıştık ama aslında biz, Mescid-i Aksa'yı bekleyen son Osmanlı askeri Dâr-ı Bekaya göçtüğünde Kudüs’ü zaten kaybetmiştik. Kudüs, yani Mescid'ül Aksa, Müslümanların namusudur.
