Lymphocyte transformation in the mesenteric lymph nodes of patients with Crohn's disease [PDF]
The response of lymphocytes from peripheral blood and mesenteric lymph nodes to stimulation with phytohaemagglutinin in vitro has been studied in eight patients suffering from active Crohn's disease. Patients with Crohn's disease exhibited reduced responses when compared with similar studies performed in control subjects.

What's New? Our research highlights how tumor sialylation affects tumor growth and reshapes the immune tumor microenvironment in colorectal cancer. We demonstrate for the first time that complete removal of sialic acids from colorectal tumor cells elicits a robust anti‐tumor immune response, but does not enhance anti‐PD‐L1 blockade efficacy.
