This study demonstrates that hypoacylated, rough‐type lipopolysaccharides (LPS) derived from Akkermansia muciniphila strain HW07 (ALPS) alleviates diet‐induced obesity. ALPS acts as a weak TLR4 agonist and significantly reduces weight gain, improves metabolic parameters, and restores gut barrier integrity in obese mice.

The Yersinia enterocolitica Ysa type III secretion system is expressed during infections both in vitro and in vivo. [PDF]
Yersinia enterocolitica biovar 1B maintains two type III secretion systems (T3SS) that are involved in pathogenesis, the plasmid encoded Ysc T3SS and the chromosomally encoded Ysa T3SS.

Immunoglobulin Secretions in the Mesenteric Lymph Node in Stressed Rats
To study the effects of different types of stressors on intestinal immune function, the lymphocyte subsets and associated immunoglobulin production in stressed rats were observed. Physical (electric foot shock) or psychological (non foot-shock) stress respectively were induced using a communication box.

Myocardial infarction primes autoreactive T cells through activation of dendritic cells [PDF]
Peripheral tolerance is crucial for avoiding activation of self-reactive T cells to tissue-restricted antigens. Sterile tissue injury can break peripheral tolerance, but it is unclear how autoreactive T cells get activated in response to self. An example

ABSTRACT Background Lymph node (LN) metastasis in extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (eCCA) is associated with poor prognosis, but the impact of specific metastatic sites is unclear. This study investigated the clinical significance of LN metastasis around the common hepatic artery (N [CHA]) in eCCA.
