Upregulation of proBDNF in the Mesenteric Lymph Nodes in Septic Mice
Neurotoxicity Research, 2019The immune status in the lymphatic system, especially mesenteric lymph nodes (MLNs), is critical to regulate the septic shock. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the enteric system has been reported to regulate enteric immunity. However, the role of its precursor, proBDNF, in the immune status of MLNs under sepsis condition is still unclear ...

Ischaemic changes in human mesenteric lymph nodes
The Journal of Pathology, 1984AbstractLymph node lesions attributable to ischaemia are described in the mesenteric nodes from 10 patients with volvulus of the small and large bowel. Frank infarction, the microanatomy of which differs from that seen in superficial lymph nodes, is one of the nodal lesions evoked by ischaemia.

Evaluation of lymphocyte production in mesenteric lymph nodes
Research in Experimental Medicine, 1979In normal young pigs two labeling procedures were evaluated to study the production of lymphocytes in mesenteric lymph nodes. Tritiated thymidine was injected either into the superior mesenteric artery or directly into the lymph nodes. There was a high rate of lymphocyte production and a considerable export of newly-formed small lymphocytes.

Mesenteric Lymph Nodes: Detection and Significance on MDCT
American Journal of Roentgenology, 2005Unsuspected mesenteric lymph nodes are frequently found on abdominal CT scans in everyday clinical practice. What to do with these findings has not been well established. The purpose of this study is to document the incidence of mesenteric lymph nodes in a previously healthy population and to provide guidelines for further management. We examined the CT
