Characteristics of myogenic reactivity in isolated rat mesenteric veins
Mechanisms of mechanically induced venous tone and its interaction with the endothelium and key vasoactive neurohormones are not well established. We investigated the contribution of the endothelium, l-type voltage-operated calcium channels (l-VOCCs ...

Nitrosyl heme emerges as an extracellular nitrodilator that dilates arteries without crossing the cell membrane. Instead, heme‐NO mobilizes NO moieties from a preformed intracellular NO store within vascular smooth muscle, providing both functional and chemical evidence for the NANOS model, revealing a previously unrecognized mechanism of arterial ...

m6A‐Mediated Glycolysis by IL‐37 Drives T Cell Metabolic Reprogramming to Regulate Colitis
This study identifies an IL‐37/SIGIRR‐METTL14 regulatory axis that suppresses global m6A modification in CD4+ T cells. IL‐37 signaling, mediated through SIGIRR, inhibits IRAK4 and JNK phosphorylation, leading to downregulation of the methyltransferase METTL14.

When a storm showers the blood clots: a case of thyroid storm with systemic thromboembolism
Thyroid storm is a rare but potentially life-threatening complication of excessive thyroid hormone action. It is associated with a hypercoagulable state and reported to increase the risk of thromboembolism. However, the role of anticoagulation in thyroid

Activation of mesenteric arteries and veins by preganglionic and postganglionic nerves
Intracellular recordings were made from inferior mesenteric artery and vein and their primary and secondary branches. The major nerve trunks associated with the inferior mesenteric ganglion were stimulated with single shocks and repetitively. Excitatory
