一种舰船用齿轮传动的动态优化设计方法

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2002
the dynamic characteristics of wide-helical gears directly affects the performance of the turbine system. In order to evaluate the dynamic characteristics of the single degree of freedom gear, the varying of the mesh stiffness is taken place by the ...

Optimization of bias modification and dynamic behavior analysis of helical gear system

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2017
A generalized finite element dynamic model of helical gear system considering time-varying mesh stiffness and loaded composite mesh error is developed. Bias modification is introduced into this model, and the corresponding time-varying mesh stiffness and

Enhancing Bubble Removal in Geometry‐Optimized Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
3D‐printed lattice electrodes outperform stochastic foams in alkaline water electrolysis despite 20%–25% lower surface area. Straight flow channels generate Venturi‐like bubble entrainment, suppressing gas accumulation that renders foam interiors electrochemically inactive.

New Bounds on the Size of Optimal Meshes [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, 2012
AbstractThe theory of optimal size meshes gives a method for analyzing the output size (number of simplices) of a Delaunay refinement mesh in terms of the integral of a sizing function over the input domain. The input points define a maximal such sizing function called the feature size.

From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

Monte Carlo optimization for gradient meshes

open access: yesGraphical Models
Vector graphics provide continuous and often even smooth geometric representations of images. While recent approaches to automatically vectorize images lead to relatively good results, they typically leave ample room for improvement: the geometry and ...

Parallel multibody separation simulation using MPI and OpenMP with communication optimization

open access: yesJournal of Algorithms & Computational Technology, 2018
In this paper we investigate parallel implementations of multibody separation simulation using a hybrid of message passing interface and OpenMP. We propose a mesh block-based overset communication optimization algorithm. After presenting details of local

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.
