Condition number bounds and mesh quality

Numerical Linear Algebra with Applications, 2010
AbstractWe analyze the effect of mesh distortion on the condition number of the representative mass matrix M and stiffness matrix K arising in a typical finite element scheme. Bounds are stated for the respective condition numbers in terms of the Jacobian of the map from a reference element.

Link quality prediction in mesh networks

Computer Communications, 2008
Wireless self-organizing networks such as mesh networks strive hard to get rid of mobility and radio propagation effects. Links - the basic elements ensuring connectivity in wireless networks - are impacted first from them. But what happens if one could mitigate these effects by forecasting the links' future states?

SOLUTION-BASED MESH QUALITY INDICATORS FOR TRIANGULAR AND TETRAHEDRAL MESHES

International Journal of Computational Geometry & Applications, 2000
A new mesh quality measure for triangular and tetrahedral meshes is presented. This mesh quality measure is based both on geometrical and solution information and is derived by considering the error when linear triangular and tetrahedral elements are used to approximate a quadratic function.

A Mesh Movement Algorithm for High Quality Generalised Meshes

42nd AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit, 2004
A new dynamic mesh movement algorithm designed for the robust and efficient deformation of high quality generalised meshes for viscous flow calculations, in response to perturbations of the underlying geometry, is presented. The algorithm is based on a technique developed for the deformation of inviscid meshes, which uses a modified form of the popular

Quality Tetrahedral Mesh Generation for Macromolecules

2006
This paper presents an algorithm to generate quality tetrahedral meshes for the volumes bounded by the molecular skin model defined by Edelsbrunner. The algorithm applies the Delaunay refinement to the tetrahedral meshes bounded by quality surface meshes.

Quality Meshing of a Forest of Branching Structures

2008
Neurons are cellular compartments possessing branching morphologies, with information processing functionality, and the ability to communicate with each other via synaptic junctions (e.g. neurons come within less than a nano-meter of each other in a specialized way).

Surface mesh quality evaluation

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 1999
The aim of the paper is to present a method suitable to analyse if a given surface triangulation satisfies the requirements of a prescribed size map. The authors' method evaluates the size quality as well as the shape quality of constrained surface meshes.

Hexahedral Mesh Quality Development by Using Mesh Generator

Indian Journal of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, 2017
Programmed hexahedral work era is an exceptionally meriting answer for better execution of limited component examination of vast complex structures. At present putting, bristle weaving and hair weaving based putting calculation are accessible to perform such assignments. As these hexahedral work era procedures are entirely programmed, it is conceivable
