AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

On curving high-order hexahedral meshes [PDF]
We present a new definition of distortion and quality measures for high-order hexahedral (quadrilateral) elements. This definition leads to two direct applications.

This study explores how machine learning models, trained on small experimental datasets obtained via Phase Doppler Anemometry (PDA), can accurately predict droplet size (D32) in ultrasonic spray coating (USSC). By capturing the influence of ink complexity (solvent, polymer, nanoparticles), power, and flow rate, the model enables precise droplet control

Up to 58 Tets/Hex to untangle Hex meshes
The request for high-quality solutions continually grows in a world where more and more tasks are executed through computers. This also counts for fields such as engineering, computer graphics, etc., which use meshes to solve their problems. A mesh is a combination of some elementary elements, for which hexahedral elements are a good choice thanks to ...

Black hole formation via hypercritical accretion during common envelope evolution [PDF]
Neutron stars inspiralling into a stellar envelope can accrete at rates vastly exceeding the Eddington limit if the flow develops pressures high enough to allow neutrinos to radiate the released gravitational energy.

TreeSpider: In‐Canopy Exploration With Tether‐Based Aerial Modular Arms
A tethered drone with perching arms and a 360° ring enables unprecedented maneuverability within dense forest canopies. By dynamically adjusting tether length and decoupling pitch from the frame, it navigates between branches, senses multiple trees, and interacts physically with foliage.
