The geometrically nonlinear analysis of microswitches using the local meshfree method
In the modelling and simulation of the microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) devices, for example the microswitch, the large deformation or the geometrical nonlinearity should be considered.

Classification and Overview of Meshfree Methods [PDF]
This paper gives an overview over Meshfree Methods. Starting point is an extended and modified classification of Meshfree Methods due to three aspects: The construction of a partition of unity, the choice of an approximation either with or without using ...

This paper introduces a new numerical method for solving a class of two‐dimensional fractional partial Volterra integral equations (2DFPVIEs). Our approach uses Lucas polynomials (LPs) to construct operational matrices (OMs) that effectively transform the complex fractional‐order equations into a more manageable system of algebraic equations.

Viscoelastic structures exhibit pronounced time memory effects and spatial nonlocal coupling under complex dynamic environments, which makes it difficult for traditional integer‐order models to achieve both accurate representation and numerical stability.

ABSTRACT Internal erosion in gap‐graded soils poses significant risks to water‐retaining structures such as earth dams. However, its underlying mechanisms at the particle scale remain poorly understood. This study couples the discrete element method (DEM) with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to simulate internal erosion in gap‐graded soil assemblies
