Mastopexy is generally regarded as having only a temporary effect. To prevent recurrent ptosis, mesh has been inserted successfully and safely, without oncological drawbacks, for almost three decades. Recently, preshaped three-dimensional knitted polyester mesh in different sizes was introduced to reinforce the breast during mastopexy.

Dual-Mesh Characteristics for Particle-Mesh Methods for the Simulation of Convection-Dominated Flows
SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 2018Particle-in-cell (PIC) methods are viewed as a powerful computational tool for the numerical solution of convection-dominated diffusion flows. Unfortunately, this method is known to introduce a level of noise or so-called ringing instability which is the fluctuation in the numerical solution. In an attempt to overcome this difficulty, the authors chose

Polarization characteristics of wire mesh at 119 μm
Applied Optics, 1989Polarization characteristics of the transmitted beam through the various sizes of metal wire grid meshes are examined experimentally at 118.8 microm. When these results were compared to Chen's waveguide theory, we obtained excellent agreement. In particular, when the incident beam polarization is neither parallel (TM) nor perpendicular (TE) to the wire

Grid-characteristic method on unstructured tetrahedral meshes
Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, 2014Summary: The goal of this paper is to develop a grid-characteristic method intended for high-performance computer systems and implemented on unstructured tetrahedral hierarchical meshes with the use of a multiple time step and high-order interpolation, including interpolation with a limiter, piecewise parabolic interpolation, and monotone interpolation.

Convergence Analysis for the Method of Characteristics in Unstructured Meshes
Nuclear Science and Engineering, 2016A new conservative linear surface approximation (CLS) has been recently introduced to speed up the method of characteristic in unstructured meshes (MOC). In this work we present an analysis of convergence of the CLS that shows that, under optimal conditions, the method converges quadratically with the size of the regions, while the classical step ...
