First optical resolution of meso–meso linked diporphyrin

Abstract meso–meso Linked diporphyrin was separated by chiral HPLC in its optically pure and thermally stable forms, indicating a high rotation barrier around the meso–meso linkage. Its CD spectrum provided rich information on the absorption characteristics of meso–meso linked diporphyrin.
