Genus-Scale Taxonomic Resolution Is Appropriate to Study Coral Demographics: A Case Study With <i>Pocillopora</i>. [PDF]
We propose that the appropriate taxonomic resolution should be defined according to the ecological question. Results from our targeted coral population confirm that generalisation at higher taxonomic level provides sufficient demographic information to investigate population and community dynamics and can potentially be used in other comparable systems.
