Resistance to Overdoping Allows Over 2000 S cm−1 Conductivity in P(g3BTTT) With Anion‐Exchange Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

Mesoscale modelling of selective laser melting: Thermal fluid dynamics and microstructural evolution

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, an integrated computational materials science approach for selective laser melting (SLM) at the mesoscale is presented. A particle dropping model was developed to simulate the representative powder-bed particle distribution of a measured ...

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

On the Universality of Mesoscience: Science of 'the in-between' [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The universality of mesoscales, ranging between elemental particles and the universe, is discussed here by reviewing widely disparate fields and presenting four cases, at differing hierarchical levels, from chemistry, chemical engineering, meteorology ...

Methane storms as a driver of Titan's dune orientation

open access: yes, 2015
Titan's equatorial regions are covered by eastward propagating linear dunes. This direction is opposite to mean surface winds simulated by Global Climate Models (GCMs), which are oriented westward at these latitudes, similar to trade winds on Earth ...

Superior Impact‐Resistant Composite Hydrogels Through an Ionic Coupling Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An ionic coupling strategy is developed to simultaneously reinforce networks and interfaces in composite hydrogels. Sodium citrate acts as a single multifunctional ionic coupler to strengthen the poly(vinyl alcohol) matrix via the Hofmeister effect, reinforce the chitosan–sodium alginate nanofiber network via desolvation and electrostatic crosslinking,

High resolution Tibetan Plateau regional reanalysis 1961-present

open access: yesScientific Data
With the rapid global warming in recent decades, the Tibetan Plateau (TP) has suffered severe impacts, such as glacier retreat, glacial lake expansion, and permafrost degradation, which threaten the lives and properties of the local and downstream ...

The MST radar technique: A tool for investigations of turbulence spectra [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
The feasibility of the MST radar as a tool for investigating turbulence spectra is discussed. Power spectral measurements using radar data are discussed. The characteristics of stratospheric turbulence are described.
