Advanced Mounting Technique for Improved Imaging and Analysis of Embedded Spheroids and Migrating Cells in Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A novel sample holder compatible with the Zeiss Lightsheet 7 microscope improves imaging of spheroids embedded in collagen matrices. By enabling dual‐sided illumination, it enhances image quality and quantitative analysis of migrating cells. This method advances 3D light sheet microscopy for studying tumor invasion and therapeutic responses.

4D Printing of Multimaterial Flexible Magneto‐Active Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Magneto‐active polymers are 3D‐printed with tunable mechanical and magnetic properties using both superparamagnetic and hard ferromagnetic fillers. Nano‐CT imaging reveals the spatial distribution of particles within the matrix. Programmable magnetization patterns and soft, flexible architectures enable responsive actuation, offering exciting ...

Micropillar‐Engineered Hybrid Adhesive Patch for Surface‐Conformable and Directional Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents a surface‐conformable hybrid adhesive integrating height‐optimized hexagonal micropillars with open‐rectangular cuts. The micropillars enhance rough‐surface contact and microscale crack arrest, while the cuts guide and reverse interfacial cracks for strong and directional adhesion. The multiscale architecture achieves robust pull‐off

3D Printed PEDOT:PSS‐Based Lattice Pressure Sensors With Tunable Electromechanical Response

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene): polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS)‐based architected lattices are fabricated via single‐step Digital Light Processing (DLP) printing for tunable pressure sensing. Structural design variations allow precise control of sensitivity and range, while integrated conductivity eliminates post‐processing.

Systematic review and meta-analysis.

Medicina Intensiva, 2017
In this review the usual methods applied in systematic reviews and meta-analyses are outlined. The ideal hypothesis for a systematic review should be generated by information not used later in meta-analyses. The selection of studies involves searching in

Meta-Analysis

Journal of Educational Statistics, 1992
The use of statistical methods to combine the results of independent empirical research studies (meta-analysis) has a long history. Meta-analytic work can be divided into two traditions: tests of the statistical significance of combined results and methods for combining estimates across studies. The principal classes of combined significance tests are

Network Meta-Analysis

2021
There are often multiple potential interventions to treat a disease; therefore, we need a method for simultaneously comparing and ranking all of these available interventions. In contrast to pairwise meta-analysis, which allows for the comparison of one intervention to another based on head-to-head data from randomized trials, network meta-analysis ...

Meta-Analysis

ORL, 2004
Systematic reviews use explicit and reproducible criteria to assemble, appraise, and combine articles with a minimum of bias. Meta-analysis is a form of systematic review that uses statistical techniques to derive quantitative estimates of the magnitude of treatment effects and their associated precision.

Meta-analysis

Health Policy, 1991
Meta-analysis corresponds to all systematic methods which use statistical techniques for combining results from several independent studies. The aim is to get a consistent estimation of the global effect of a procedure on a specified outcome. The technique allows us to increase the power of statistical testing, and to get information which cannot be ...

Multivariate meta‐analysis

Statistics in Medicine, 2003
AbstractMeta‐analysis is now a standard statistical tool for assessing the overall strength and interesting features of a relationship, on the basis of multiple independent studies. There is, however, recent acknowledgement of the fact that in many applications responses are rarely uniquely determined.
